One of the few places I have been was Fort Jackson, South Carolina. I was in Basic training for the Army, we slept in pup tents in the rain and cold. It was the first time I left Massachusetts and I thought I would be warm for the winter. It snowed on my tent one night. I received a pass where we went to Columbia, the only city I visited. It was a shock, after we moved to Texas, to discover that it gets cold in the south, too.
