Haha, I'm glad! Still trying to find the right balance here with humor and such though (it's a much less snarky environment so far and I like that but definitely have to adjust 😅)
Exactly. My first book was actually co-authored psychology/self help, next was a prize-winning short story collection, then a biography/literary study, then a novel and so on through my 27th book. Whew!
Wow we have a lot in common! I spent 5 years in St Joseph, MI and graduated from Bethel College in IN . I have evolved a lot from my religious Christian days and now consider myself a liberal Christian humanist (my own phrase, ha!) I am so surprised by how many points of commonality we share.
That is so funny! We love going "home" to visit St. Joe and the kids are looking forward to some beach days this summer. And I think we're all trying to figure out what the heck to call ourselves because nothing seems to fit 😉
I just found you via Notes and am excited to read more. I especially like how you have established distinct sections/themes. And as a fellow blogger, I applaud your willingness to write broadly. It's harder to classify but truer to the whole self. :)
Great reintroduction! Glad to have found your newsletter through Notes!
And I'm glad I don't have to worry about missing your quips by not regularly checking into Twitter! :-)

I am multi-genre too! 9 mysteries, 1 suspense novel, 1 historical, a handful of essay collections, a memoir/travelogue, and more besides....
I just can't stick with one thing because I'm so many things and I want to write about it all!

Hello from a fellow writer, fellow politically homeless Christian, and fellow Sarah!
I love finding fellow writers, politically homeless Christians, and Sarahs! (Especially those who correctly spell their names 😉)
Hehehe agreed! That's always the question we get, isn't it? "Is there an H on that?" Yes. Yes there is.
And of course I had to subscribe to yours. I'm loving that Notes is directing me to new voices.

Nice to meet you Sarah and learn more about you!
I'm loving new Notes connections.
