Memoir Book Talk
I got invited to speak to high school students about memoir and the writing process
In Writing the Journey, I write about writing. I share my travel and personal experiences through writing in a lot of contexts, but I also strive to achieve more as a writer. This is where I reflect on that process.
I won the jackpot when it comes to my current English teaching colleagues. I’ve had wonderful colleagues who have become lifelong friends over the years, but I cannot say enough how valued my current fellow book lovers make me feel.
One of my colleagues has not only talked up my book everywhere, but she asked me to speak to her creative writing students and some of my fellow English teachers also showed up. Another member of our team, who is in charge of the school television and radio station, recorded the talk for me.
It’s a long 30 minutes, but I still wanted to share for those who might be interested.
